Terms of Use

1. The service

Tamar's App helps friends propose hangouts, share availability, find overlapping times, and lock a meeting. Features may change as we improve the product.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the app. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the app with permission from a parent or guardian where required by law.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone/email secure.
• Provide accurate information and keep your profile reasonably up to date.
• Do not create accounts for others without permission or impersonate anyone.
• You may delete your account at any time; see Account & Data Deletion.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm others
• Post illegal, abusive, or sexually exploitative content involving minors
• Spam invites or abuse notifications
• Attempt to access others’ accounts or reverse-engineer the service in unauthorized ways
• Interfere with or overload our servers or security
• Use the app for commercial scraping, bulk messaging, or unlawful purposes

5. User content

You retain rights to content you submit (such as display names, plan titles, and group names). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate the service for you and people you invite.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or our Child Safety Standards.

6. Invites & contacts

Invite links and codes are intended for people you know. Contact matching is optional and uses hashed phone numbers; you are responsible for complying with local law when sharing invites or accessing contacts.

7. Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we may send messages about plans, invites, and related activity. You can disable them in the app or device settings.

8. Third-party services

The app may rely on platform services (Apple, Google, Expo push, hosting providers). Their terms and policies also apply to those components.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Scheduling outcomes depend on user input; we do not guarantee that a meeting time will work for everyone.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (if any) or (b) USD $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or if we discontinue the service.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
